Using the Adhesive Tape:

To use the adhesive tape correctly around your rug, follow these steps:

  1. Apply the adhesive tape all the way around the rug, as close to the edge as possible.

  2. Turn the rug over and press firmly so the glue adheres well along the entire edge.

  3. Trim any excess to about 5 cm from the edge of the rug.

  4. Turn the rug over again and remove the adhesive tape.

  5. Fold the edge as straight as possible.

  6. Tap the folded edge with a hammer or heavy object to ensure a permanent bond.

À quoi sert le ruban adhésif de finition ?

Il permet de maintenir le tissu primaire rabattu au dos d’une création tuftée afin de travailler les contours et d’obtenir une bordure plus propre.

Quelles sont les dimensions du rouleau ?

Le rouleau mesure 5 cm de largeur pour 25 m de longueur.

Le ruban est-il adhésif des deux côtés ?

Oui. Il possède deux faces adhésives : une première permet de fixer le ruban au dos de votre création et la seconde permet d’y rabattre le tissu.

Faut-il ajouter de la colle sur le ruban ?

Non. Le ruban possède déjà deux faces adhésives et ne nécessite pas d’ajouter de colle directement sur sa surface.
Il ne remplace toutefois pas la colle utilisée pour fixer les fils au dos de votre création après le tufting.

Le ruban reste-t-il visible ?

Son aspect quasi-transparent lui permet de rester discret pendant la réalisation des finitions. Une fois le tissu rabattu et le dos de votre création terminé, il est en grande partie recouvert.

Peut-on découper le ruban ?

Oui. Vous pouvez découper la longueur nécessaire et utiliser plusieurs morceaux afin de suivre plus facilement les dimensions et la forme de votre création.
