How does it work?
During this one-day workshop, you will learn how to create a 60cm x 60cm rug in the pattern of your choice. This training will allow you to acquire the skills necessary to work with a tufting gun in a professional manner. You will discover how to embed your fabric, transfer your design and use the tufting machine.
At the end of the day, you will apply carpet glue to the back of your rug. Once the glue is dry, we will take care of the finishing touches. You can come and collect your rug a few days later.
1 - Preparation of the workshop
Upon arrival, your pattern will already be transferred. All you have to do is choose from a range of 44 cone colours available to create your tufted creation.
2 - Getting started with the tufting gun
Next, let’s get hands-on! Learn the safety rules, then use the tufting gun to bring your design to life by following the outlines and filling in with your chosen colors.
3 - Carpet finishes
The final step is to glue the back of your carpet. We will then take care of the finishing touches, and you can come and collect it as soon as it is ready.

Meet Karima
Karima has a real passion for craftsmanship and passing on her know-how.
A graduate of the Villa Arson School in Nice, this visual artist teaches applied arts in high schools specializing in design.
Her journey led her to discover tufting, a textile technique that gave her new energy.
Her attachment to the world of wool is obvious, inherited from a mother who was passionate about crochet and knitting.
In her workshop, she welcomes you with enthusiasm and a great desire to share her skills.

Tufting Medium Workshop FAQ

This initiation is open to all, beginners and professionals alike. It is a perfect opportunity to discover tufting and determine if you want to continue in this direction and possibly purchase the equipment. No previous tufting experience is necessary.

Yes, the workshops are open to ages 15 and up.

The workshops take place from 9am to 5pm on two consecutive days, with a one-hour lunch break. Depending on everyone's progress, the sessions may extend a little later.

All you need to bring is your creativity and motivation. All the necessary materials, including tufting gun, fabric, glue and wool, are provided.

After your booking, we will get in touch with you and send you drawings and inspirations. This will allow us to discuss and finalize the design ahead of the workshop.

At the end of the day, you will apply carpet glue to the back of your carpet. Once the glue is dry, we will take care of the finishing touches.

Meals are not provided, but cafes and restaurants are available nearby for refreshments after the workshop.
