What is a premium primary fabric for tufting?

This premium quality primary fabric is the tufting fabric ideal for all your tufted creations. Also called monk cloth or monk's cloth, it will serve as a base for all your projects. To use it optimally, you will need to stretch it on your wooden tufting frame. Made of 100% polyester, this primary fabric offers great resistance to the passage and pressure of your tufting gun . Sufficiently robust and rigid, it offers unrivaled comfort, allowing you to work for hours in the best conditions.

What are the advantages of using a premium primary fabric?

Its marking lines every 50 cm will serve as a guide when creating drawings and graphic patterns. They also make it easier to cut to the size of your choice. Need to correct a mistake? The thread can be easily removed in the weft without damaging your monk's cloth or making holes in it. This is the best tufting fabric for making rugs.

FAQ

Why use this premium primary fabric rather than a standard fabric?

Premium primary fabric is more durable and better suited to tufting techniques due to its polyester composition. Using standard fabric, you risk your thread not inserting properly through the fabric or, worse, ending up tearing your fabric.

How do I install premium monk cloth on my tufting frame?

To install the fabric on your frame, start by unrolling the fabric and placing it on the frame. Make sure it is taut and evenly distributed over the entire surface of the frame before attaching it. It is imperative that your canvas is taut like a drum. We recommend that you follow our video tutorial to install your canvas in the best conditions.

Are Marker Lines Really Useful?

Yes, the marking lines every 50 cm are extremely useful. They not only help to align the patterns, but they also make it easier to cut the fabric accurately.

Can this fabric be used for projects other than tufting?

Although this fabric is specifically designed for tufting, its strength and texture also make it suitable for some forms of embroidery or punch needle.

How to choose between white and gray colors?

The choice of color depends on your personal preferences and the design of your project. There is no difference in the quality of the fabric, apart from the color. However, if you want to make a white or beige rug, we recommend choosing the gray fabric because it might be difficult to tuft tone on tone.

Le meilleur choix de toile

Je recommande grandement la toile en polyester qui est la meilleur option pour travailler , la toile de détend beaucoup moins que d’autres matières et est très facile à replacer pour être ajusté . La toile est extrêmement agréable à travailler .
